am following all directions to print results page or even email results page but nothing happens. triggers all look right. any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
our company doesn't use a learning management system and we want users of tutorials that I create to be sent to a central location.
For the email results feature, that is not something included within Storyline on the Quiz results slide. There is an email trigger currently, but it can have the same problems with security restrictions as described here.
For the print results feature, are you receiving an error message or it's just not opening up a print window? When you click on Print results it should open a new tab or window within the browser where the results will appear - the user will then need to select Print from within the browser's settings.
I'm not able to replicate this in my own .story files. Can you share your .story file with our Support team and let them know how you're testing the course (browser you're using, published within LMS, etc.).? If you'd like to let me know the case number I'll follow along.
I'm having the same problem, when 'print results' is selected, a box for the user to enter their name pops-up, but after the name is entered and OK is selected, no print window opens.
I looked to see if there was anything determined within Angela's case, and I found the reply my colleague Jayem shared with her, but not a answer if that worked for her. I'd still suggest checking into the following:
First, let us check how you are testing your project. If you publish your content for Web or LMS, but you view the content directly from your local drive or a network drive, this may cause unexpected behaviors. It is possible that this is due to web browser and/or Flash Player security restrictions. To truly test the functionality of your content we recommend testing the content in the environment it will be in when it is live. So if you are publishing for LMS, test the content in your LMS. If you are publishing for the Web, test the content on a web server via a valid HTTP address.
If you are already testing your project properly, let's check your browser settings. Being that the Print Results button launches a file called the report.html in a new window, it's common for pop up blockers to prevent the file from loading. Therefore, I recommend that you disable any pop up blockers that you have running.
If the problem persists, could you please do the following to see if it resolves the issue:
INTERNET EXPLORER
1) Upgrade your version of the Flash Player to the latest version: http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer 2) Clear your cache. You can do this in Internet Explorer by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Temporary Internet Files and select Delete Cookies and Delete Files. 3) Under the Security tab, click on the Internet, Local intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites and select Default level for each. 4) Under the Privacy tab make sure that is set to the Default level. 5) Under Advanced click Restore advanced settings and click OK. 6) Restart your web browser.
