When I insert a video into my course by recording my webcam, I am finding that my audio and video are out of sync. My video seems to be a few seconds ahead of my audio, and I cannot figure out why!
Any ideas from your brilliant minds are appreciated!
Yes, I'm seeing the issue in Preview. As I look closer, the video is actually moving more quickly than the audio, which is playing at normal speed. Weird! I can't locate a setting or anything that might be causing that.
I will try publishing the output to the LMS and see if it still occurs. I tried publishing to web and the video won't even show on the screen in that format.
I'm using Storyline 2. More to come once I test the LMS publishing.
Hi Shari! Thanks for sharing your .story file. That's not even a subtle difference. Pretty apparent something is going on. I'm not sure, however, that it's your .story file. Looks like you've added a video to this course.
Do you see the same issue in your video file prior to adding to your course? Do you have this .wmv file to share as well?
Thanks for your review of my story and for posting a response.
I didn't import a separate video file, I recorded the video directly from within Storyline, using the Insert > Video > Record Webcam... function on the slide. Does that help at all?

Hi there, Shari.
Are you seeing the disconnect between audio and video in Preview? What about the published output?
Are you able to share an example .story file where this happens?
Also what version of Storyline are you using? Thanks for the info!

Me again! I just published to LMS and the problem persists. I'll try to attach my story file here although our firewall might prevent it.
I think the upload worked! I appreciate any insights you can share on what I might have done wrong. :-)

Well that does certainly help Shari, but stumps me at the same time.
I've not seen this issue reported before :) I'm assuming your webcam/recording works well outside of Storyline?
Let's try this:
If it happens in a new file, please be sure that you are working locally on both your software and your project file then repair your software.
Thanks for the response, Leslie. Was there supposed to be a link to some documentation in your second bullet?
I will give it a whirl in a new file and let you know what happens!
Why yes, yes there was...and now I've added it. #mondays
Here it is again :)
Thank you, Leslie!
Apparently it was there the entire time.

Thanks for your patience! :-)
