Help with Simulation

May 22, 2019

Hi All

I need help with a simulation I recorded. I'm new to recording sims. I viewed the tutorials and then recorded my sim in Google Chrome (client's preferred platform).

Everything was looking great in Chrome but then I opened it in IE. I now have stuttering between slides, text entry fields that aren't working, etc.

I thought the recording on the time line isn't aligned with the text boxes, hotspots etc. But realigning the end points in the timeline only made things worse.

At this point I'm a bit desperate, I need to get this done. Is there a way to remove the recording in the time line but keep the image?

Here's what I tried to do this:

1. Export the image library and insert the images from the file folder when I do this the images are a quarter smaller in the slide that the original. If I proportionally resize I lose content on the right and left side of the image.

Can someone please help me?

Hey Andrea! Happy to help you sort through this.

First, let's tackle the differences you're seeing in Chrome and Internet Explorer. Where was the published output hosted when you tested in those browsers – a web server or a LMS?

If you're able to share a copy of your file with me, I can take a closer look. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Thanks for the tip, I'll be more careful in the future.
