Help with Storyline 2 Module Issue

Aug 16, 2017

I'm working through an issue and could use some help. The training has been published for an LMS (Cornerstone), loaded and is being launched from the LMS.

The training has a slide where a map of the US appears and there are four flags. When you click on a flag it takes you to a slide layer. When you are finished you return to the base slide with the map. The flag that you selected should have undergone a state change to put a circle around it of the same color.

Here is the issue. When I test this training on my PC, using Chrome and/or Internet Explorer, everything works as intended. However, everyone else we've had review the training encounters issues with this slide. When they select a flag and return to the base slide the other flags can't be clicked, and the state change for the flag they did click does not take effect. If they leave the slide and return to that same slide, it's like everything catches up and the slide works properly.

We can't seem to track down where this issue is occurring and it's compounded by the fact that it works on one PC and no others. I've attached the source file. Any help would be appreciated. We've spent a few days trying to troubleshoot this issue with no progress.

Thanks,

Aaron Schweizer

Hey Aaron!

So sorry that's happening- I'm happy to help here.

Thanks for sharing your file! I published it and uploaded to SCORM Cloud to test it in an LMS. Just to verify- you were referring to slide 2.2 CAP Map, correct?

If so, that slide appears to function as designed for me when I view your course in the latest Chrome.

Take a look at it here and let me know if you're running into the issue there. If so, what browser are you viewing it in?

Keep me posted!

Hi Ali,

Thanks for taking a look at this. Yes, the slide is 2.2 CAP Map. It works for me as well. From both our LMS and your SCORM Cloud publish. I've launched the course in both in IE and Chrome without issue. The strange part is that we've had five other individuals review the content and that slide will not function for them.

I'm open to suggestions at this point.
