Help with Storyline 3 hover trigger

And, it's a state I'm having trouble with, not a trigger. I told you I was new, lol.

Hi, Enya! Thanks for including the link. I'm seeing lots of blinking when hovering over the rectangles on the Needs Versus Wants slide.

Would you mind sharing your original project file so I can dig into how you built this slide? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

I wonder what you put the trigger on? The flashing could be because you put the trigger on the text or something that doesn't cover the whole area. But we would need to see the project file.

Alyssa and Paris, thanks for responding. I didn't add a trigger, it's only a state on that layer. As I stated, when I preview the slide, the state changes correctly, but when I publish it to a temp file, it only blinks (like Alyssa stated.)

I did send the original file to Alyssa, so hopefully, you'll be able to find the issue.

What item did you put the hover state on? If there is text partially obscuring the box that has the hover state, it will flash as the cursor meanders over the text. But if you added the text to the box that shouldn't be the case.

Alyssa, you are my hero! Your suggestion worked. I uploaded a temp file and voila! No blinking when I hover over the boxes.

Thanks also for the short video tutorial. I thought if I remove the box it would simply show what was underneath. But, it makes sense that the mouse has to have a target to change the state.
