Hello! I've been using the mouse "tracking" feature today, and it was fine for about 5 or 6 slides, but now I notice that when I click on the mouse (up above) there are no longer any options there. Is there a limit to the number of times I can use this on a presentation? I can't figure out why I can't get it to work any more. Any one know??? Thank you so much!
Is the menu for "Mouse" grayed out, or does it just not insert the interactive object into the slide?
Can you tell me what type of content you have on the slide where this isn't working? Also are you using different types of cursors for each instance of the mouse feature?
Are you trying to insert the mouse while in Story View, rather than Slide View, by any chance? Can you tell us the scenario and the steps you're taking to try and insert it?
Christine - yes - the area for mouse is greyed out.
I'm not using different cursers. The content is a screen shot(photo) and a few text boxes. It's the same that was on the previous 5 slides that I got to work.
Peter - no I am not. My steps are - I am on the slide I want to do the mouse "tracking", and I am clicking on the mouse in the top right corner and not getting a dropdown - instead getting a greyed out area.
Thanks very much for getting back to us. Are you able to try this in a new, blank Storyline file? I'm curious if the same thing happens in a new file, because I can't seem to recreate the problem.
Also, are you able to share one of the .STORY files where you're unable to insert additional "mouse" effects?
Christine - I can't share it publically as it's confidential but could I share it just with you? I'm continuing to have this problem - can't figure it out.

Hi Stephanie,
No problem, I totally understand! If you'd like to share the file with us privately, you're welcome to so do in a support case.
You'll be able to attach the .STORY file on the second page of the following form:
