Hep with Likert Scales please
Mar 11, 2016
Hi, I'm trying to do a simple quiz - learners rate themselves against a variety of statements to help them think more deeply about some of the important qualities in the work they will be doing (file attached). I want a slide that calculates their 'score' and explains simply what this means. I imagined I could do this using variables, but can't get started on this on the Likert scales.
Is it possible to do this? Am I missing something simple? And if so can you please tell me how or direct me to a resource that can help (I've been trawling through the threads and videos but they either don't help or I don't understand them!
Any help greatly appreciated . . .

The likert scale unfortunately does not report its value within storyline. When I have needed to do this in the past I have recreated a likert using radio buttons and then used variables to get the value.
Thanks Phil - that's saved me a lot of time fiddling around! Do you mean that you just created the Likert on a normal slide (i.e. not using the quiz feature)?
Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
It sounds like it Phil is recommending adding in your own buttons which you can read about here and then adjust a variable based on the state of the buttons (selected or not).
