Hide seekbar when new layer opens

Can you hide the native seekbar of the player when a new layer becomes visible? I have a video on a new layer, user clicks a button to open the video, but I want the video to have the video playbar (with runtime) and be able to hide the native seekbar of the Storyline player. It looks weird to have to playbars. I need the runtime, which is why I want the video playbar. I know you can disable the base layer from being clicked on, pause the audio on that layer, etc. I also don't want to use the lightbox option because it is not customizable, from the size to the red Close button.

Thoughts???

Hi Alyssa, 

This post is over 8 years old, so the the layout of Storyline 360 has changed a bit, but you can choose to hide the seek bar on certain slides by customizing the player features on a slide-by-slide basis. I've attached a demo file which hides the seek bar for the second slide, so only the video seek bar is visible. And below is a screenshot of the exact setting I changed in the slide properties to achieve the effect:
