Unexpected activity frequently indicates that you have been working too long, and SL is about to crash. Close SL, and restart it every hour or so to be safe.
It really is not a problem of the Find function; it really happens (at least for me) if two conditions are present.
1. Text is selected - which it will be, if you are using the Find text function AND
2. The timeline is undocked.
Deselecting the text, or docking the timeline will cure it.
Just one of those little traits that so endear 360 to all of us, just like the fact that you can't choose Modern text if any object on a slide is selected.
I'm not reporting this as a bug, because Articulate is already overwhelmed with problems that I consider to be far more serious.
Thanks, Walt. I did see slightly different behavior when undocking the timeline pane, but I did not have to navigate to another slide to hide all elements.

So Walt... you are saying this behavior isn't reproducible on your workstation. This is good to know.
Although this problem was the first thing I did after loading SL 360, I'll close and retry.
Nope. Still happens.
Let's try a different .story. Nope. Still happens there too. So easy. Load a .story, find "the", turn off all elements. They still show.

It's almost like development isn't happening in one location under central management and co-located with a QA division.
Hi there Sam!
Thanks so much for bringing this up. If there's a bug going on, we definitely want to know about it.
I did some testing in Storyline 360, and I did not see the bug you described. Please watch this video, and let me know what I missed in my testing.
Thanks!
Alyssa,
If you undock your timeline pane, and select text, you will see it.

Here's a screen recording of what I saw.
Do you get the same result hiding one object at a time?
Hi Walt,
Yes, I do get the same result hiding one object at a time. Here's a screen recording.
