Hiding base layer elements
Sep 17, 2012
Hello all,
When a user visits my slide, I have a character with a text caption instructing them to click on buttons on that slide. When they click on each button, the trigger calls a text box explaining the button. However, when they click on the first button, I need the character and her caption to go away. She currently remains behind the text boxes and it looks bad. Is there a way to make her go away when a user clicks on one of the four buttons?

Michael;
I think I understand what you are doing and it should be doable. on new slide layer in the timeline there is a section to hide base layer objects. You can turn off whichever ones you want on each layer.
If this is not it you can attach your file and I will be glad to try and help.

Hi Michael! Another Stoyrline user asked about this recently and I recorded a quick screencast showing the method that Tim mentioned. Here you go: https://player.vimeo.com/video/145579592
Thanks for the quick replies Tim & Jeanette! This is exactly what I needed and it now works! What an awesome product and great community!
