high res images issue

Hi Folks,
I need some help please. I am dealing with a lot of images that are high res and good quality (72 & 96 & 300 dpi). Once I drop it into SL, it becomes degraded (looses quality). I preview and publish and it still looks the same. I have tried tiff, pngs, jpeg and publish custom to highest quality.
Is there a setting in the player or interface that I have to change? I am due to release these screen capture to the client today and it is frustrating. This same thing happens with the screen recordings hence me resorting to using images per step (so outdated..'.rolling my eyes').
Thanks...
K

Let me also mention this:
SL is running in parallels on Mac.
Hi Kai,
In addition to changing the quality settings in the publish window and adjust this:
Thanks Ashley. I have everything set according. It makes no difference. Oh well!
I decided to just use the pngs and go with that.
I don't zoom and even when I do use the zoom tool, it make sit worse. Very odd.
Hi Kai,
I've heard a few users discussing how the retina display on Macs changes how small everything else appears within Storyline - but if you'd like me to take a look at how it behaves in a native window environment I'm happy to - it might help narrow down what's happening. Either the .story file or one of the pngs would be good to look at.
