I'm very new to Storyline 2 and I'm building a history course. Any ideas on how to present the text interactively? I was considering a scroll option (if storyline offers it-still learning :)) and then thought that would be boring. I know I wouldn't want to scroll through tons of text. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
There are slider interactions that are great for building interactive timelines. Here is the old weekly challenge that covers just that: https://community.articulate.com/articles/interactive-sliders-elearning-examples As the learner goes through the timeline, different parts of the text could appear as that point in history "occurs" on screen.
You could do historical "interviews" where you have historical characters portrayed on screen, and will talk about themselves or events if the user clicks on them?
Maybe you could recreate simplified animated versions of historical events and have a narrator talk about it while the learner watches and learns about it? Maybe they could click around the scene while its happening to learn more?
Just a couple of ideas, I don't know what part of history your covering so I was just throwing spouting thoughts as they came to me. I hope your project turns out well!
Glad you were able to get the assistance that you needed here, but I wanted to pop in and let you know that responding to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
Hi Grace. Your project reminded me of another recent discussion thread from a user who was trying to develop some timeline-based interactions around civil war history. Just thought I'd pop in and share this link with you in case it gave you some ideas for your project!
