Hosting Articulate Packages

Hi Everyone,
My department is creating some self-paced modules and we would like to collect user data. I was told a few years ago that articulate packages have to be hosted in an LMS to get the data. Is this still the case?
One issue we are having with Blackboard Ultra, is that participants can no longer search to find the course to enroll in anymore. This was a feature in BB Learn but not in Ultra. It seems we have to either email links out to the participants to enroll, or every semester enroll the entire campus.
Also, what other places does the community host their articulate package while being able to collect data?
Thanks.

You can host in an LMS or use Tincan and an LRS to collect data. Tincan will give more flexibility but you do need someway of passing authentic information. You could look at running a Wordpress site with LearnDash and Tincanny to capture the data.
An LMS helps to identify and authenticate users, but it's not required in order to collect user data. There are various tools, one example is a Data Cloud for Storyline widget. There are also numerous articles on this board showing how to use Google Sheets to collect and store data.
I'm just starting researching options to us Articulate without an LMS. Are there any recommended LRSs, or maybe LAPs?
