Hosting requirements for eLearning modules

Jul 27, 2018

Hello,

I am developing several eLearning products/modules, and I need to plan and implement a hosting solution for these as nothing could currently support this (our CMS is old and will be replaced as well). We do not have a LMS.

I have to come up with IT requirements and needs that the hosting solution will solve/answer. So far, I don't have much, I am thinking:

- Capacity to host up to X amount of modules (in gigabytes)

- Capacity for users to open and complete modules when required

- Capacity for the modules (or hosting solution) to be linked to other related systems or websites (for example: a government site)

- Capacity to add and remove modules when needed

- Capacity for administrators to open and edit modules as needed

- Log in, log off feature, through authentication (to recognize users and what they have completed so far)

Are there other aspects I should consider, specifically when it comes to web browsers? The fact that they will published in html5 format?

Any guidance or tips will be appreciated!

Thanks!
