Hot key only works once

Hello, hopefully there will be an easy answer:

I have my slideshow set-up with a trigger that enables a light box to appear upon the ~ key being pressed. This works fine, but after closing the light box, pressing the ~ key does not bring back the light box until the next slide.

Is there anyway to have a hot key work multiple times within one slide?
