Hot Spot - Try Again layer not matching design

Apr 29, 2013

Good morning.

I've created a Hot Spot slide (attached) which works fine but I'm having a problem with the 'Try Again' feedback layer.  The slide is set up to give users 3 attempts at the question. If the user gets their first attempt wrong the 'Try Again' feedback layer comes up correctly. However, if they get their second attempt wrong, the 'Try Again' feedback layer (which should be the same as the first time) comes up but the 'continue' box is in a very dark grey (different to what appears after the first attempt) and this is different to the design of the feedback layer / slide.  I've looked at the slide master and can't find that design for the slide anywhere. I'm obvioulsy doing something wrong but can't seem to find out what.

If any of you can help I would be very grateful.

Hi Paolo,

Having had a quick look at your attached example, the issue appears to be with the states of the 'Try again' button. If you click on the button within the 'Try again' layer, you will see that the dark grey 'version' of this button is it's visited state. This state is being triggered the second time a user sees it because they click on it (to visit it) the first time they are incorrect.

As a solution, I have deleted the dark grey visited state, duplicated the 'normal' state and renamed this as the visited state as per the attached.

Does this solve your issue?
