Hotspot and marker on same slide

Hello.  Storyline 2.  I have an information marker on a hotspot question.  Its not actually a quiz question. I am using it for interactivity to click on a spot on the graphic. Learner can also click on the info marker for additional detail. 

My issue is, I have the marker set to show all on hover.  Cool. BUT, if the learner actually CLICKs instead, the marker works but it triggers the question and they get a "try again".  How do I get the question hotspot to ignore the marker?  Or can I?  I would prefer not to split into two slides.  I need to use the question because I need to let the user know if they didn't click on the right spot.
