Hotspot marker
Jan 05, 2018
Hello, can someone help with this. I am using Storyline 360 and have created a basic hotspot quiz question where learners have to click the correct part of an image. I have set 3 freeform hotspots on the image, however, wherever I click on the slide area, the marker-kind of thing (pulsing circle) appears indicating my selection. Any way to remove this? TIA.

Hi Prathiba,
Thanks for your post! What you described is intended behavior, but there's probably a way we can work around it. Can you tell me more about what you'd like to happen when the user clicks the correct hotspot? What about when the user clicks outside the hotspot?
If you can give me a bit more detail, or even include a sample of your file, I can point you in the right direction!
Hi Alyssa, thanks for the reply. What I'd like to happen is: if they click on one of the 3 hotspots set on the image, the spinning wheel should appear. If they click elsewhere, nothing should happen. Right now wherever they click, for e.g. even the question text or the Submit button, a spinning wheel appears on it. Thoughts?
Thanks for that context, Prathiba! I'm wondering if a 'Pick One' interaction would be a better fit. I put together a quick demo file for you--click here to see it in action!
Thanks Alyssa. This will be a good match. :)
Wonderful! So glad that sample was helpful for you. Best of luck on the rest of your project! ☺️
