Hotspot not working properly

May 14, 2014

Anyone have this problem:

I create an Hotspot slide, put an image, did the hot spots.... And everything are clickable! I dont know why everything are clickable.

The exemple in the attachment.

Any Ideas how to resolve this?

Your best option is to:

Don't use hotspot free form question at all but rather use the pick one (or pick many) free form question type and use transparent shapes instead of hotspots (you can't change the state of hotspots which is another limitation), making sure you select the correct shape(s) in the question options. This way the only shapes that are clickable are the shapes you've added (in your penguin example you could use the free form shape option)

Hey Andre,

With hotspots, the learner is able to click anywhere on the image that they choose.  One thing that you can do is setup the feedback to vary based on which penguin is clicked by changing the Feedback setting.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, but even with this, the student will lost attempts clicking outside of the hotspots... :/
