hotspot triggered animations misbehaving

Mar 26, 2014

I've created two slides in a Storyline presentation with hotspots on a photo image that have triggers to display other photo images and related text captions.  I've added animation to the display so the photo image zooms in and the caption flies in to meet it.  There's a button with triggers to close the images and captions.  They all are working as designed except for a quirk when I click a hotspot for the first time on one of the slides. And it only happens on the first click of any hotspot, not on subsequent clicks.  After the first hotspot click the caption and image display for about a second and then go away.  Again, on any clicks after the first one the captions and images display normally.

Can anyone suggest what's going on and how it can be fixed?  To add another twist, I asked a colleague to take a look and she did not experience the problem (using Internet Explorer).

thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Terry,

You're both viewing it in Internet Explorer, the same version? I'd agree with Geert here, if you can share an example for us to look at that would be the best way to help troubleshoot.

In the meantime, you may also want to look at your trigger order or how the objects are placed, as triggers will fire from the top to the bottom and you'll want to make sure that there isn't anything covering or being hidden by other objects on your slide.
