Hover on captions broken

May 13, 2014

I just wanted to point out that for captions, having a Hover state on them can be very glitchy and needs to be fixed. If you hover over the background of the caption, the hover state gets activated. But if you want to have a trigger which switches to another layer for example, when it "is not" Hover, if you hover the cursor over the text in the caption (which is part of the caption shape) it activates the NOT hover state. So what ends up happening is when I hover over a caption shape with text, and the cursor hovers over the text of the caption, the Hover state is deactivated.

Huge bug and I dont know if this has been discussed before, but I would surely like some help on the matter. whether this is a bug that needs to be fixed or is intentionally put in (for what or why I don't have a clue).

Hi Ros,

I set up a test file, that seems to match your description to see if I could replicate what you were discussing. You'll see the caption on the slide, and once you hover over any part of the caption a new layer appears with a square - when you no longer hover over the caption, the trigger is set to show a second layer with smiley face and you'll see the trigger is to show it when the state of the caption is not Hover. All seems to be working as expected for me here - can you take a look at this one and let me know if you see something different or if you have set it up in a different way?

Wow I seemed to have never replied to this, I'm so sorry. And you replied to snappy too. I've just been swamped and I never got a notification for this either which is strange. But anyway I want to give you an update. I haven't tried out the caption bug again since I originally wrote it. Your example works for me, so I'm gonna have to go back and find the particular slide in which the issue originated. I will reply here again when I have reviewed it again.,

Thanks so much for your speedy response though. I will not underestimate the power of this community again :P
