Hover State and Click

Hey, this is probably a stupid question, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to give an object a hover state and also the ability to change to a new state when clicked.
I've set it up a few ways, but the basic gist has been:
Object Trigger 1: change to state A when hover
Object Trigger 2: change to state A when clicked (and if state = A)
I'm sure I'm going about this all the wrong ways, and I would LOVE any guidance y'all can provide!
Thanks!

Played with this some more, and it looks like the actual problem is that once the mouse leaves the object, the hover mechanics are returning it back to normal. Is there a way for me to set it up so that when you hover over the object, you get the hover effect, but if you click on the object, it goes to a different state and doesn't go back to normal when you move your mouse?
Hi jesse
Use two states of a Button, "Change state to hover when user moves a mouse over an object"
You have to add second state to "Disable", and remember that you can make/edit your state according to you need
once you change it's state from Hover to Disable you would not be able to Hover it again
Hi Jesse,
There is also a check mark in the hover trigger to "restore on mouse leave" which is what is returning the behavior to the normal state. You should be able to set it up as you described, and there is some additional information detailed here on using the built in states.
Hi Jesse,
I believe what you want requires you to delete the default hover state and to create a "custom hover" state with an added trigger or two. Check out the quickly created attachment to see if this is what you want.
Thank you so much everyone!
