Hover state with pictures

Hi
I'm trying to create a hover effect so that when a number option is hovered over the background image changes.
Number 1 works fine but when I hover over number 2, number 1 disappears, when I hover over number 3, numbers 1 and 2 disappear etc.
The hover effect is attached to the numbers only, but when the picture appears in the hover, the hover effect is then attached to the picture.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a file so you can see what's going on then.
Thanks.
Kelly

I haven't the time to look at the story, but it sounds like the background image that appears covers the numbers. Whichever one of these is on the top (of the timeline, or the z-level) when it changes state (like to hover) will still be on the top. If the new state is large enough, it will cover the ones below it.
Hi Walt
Thanks for your quick response. All the images have been sent to the back, that's why I'm struggling to understand why it's behaving in this way.
Hi Kelly
Walt's right - the background image is covering the numbers so...as a workaround
I duplicated your slide then created an object (picture) with 5 states that used the pictures from each state. I then set triggers to show the pictures when user hovers over the option numbers. I didn't update the hover state of the button and haven't added back the message but it may give you an idea.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Wendy, I'll download the story and give it a go.

In reference to your response above how did you create the object? I cannot find it on or off canvas.
Thank you

Hi ide
I used the white rectangle on the slide and copied the different images into states which were triggered when the user hovers over the numbers
If you still need help - upload your file and we can work on your setup.
Hi Wendy
Got it! It is precisely what I was looking for so many thanks to you and, of course, may thanks to Kelly for submitting the query.
Ever the helpful hero! :-)
