Hovering descriptions
May 06, 2015
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to stroyline and have been trying to figure out how a user can hover over a picture that has a text field and receive a description or definition for that text area. I know the markers are ab le to do this however I need button or icon to be very small or it will complete over take the picture. In fact if it were 100% transparent that would be great. Any help is truly appreciated.
Thank you,
Heidi

Hi Heidi,
There are a couple of ways you could do this.
One way is to create a new layer that has your text popup on. Then add a Hotspot (under the Insert Ribbon > Controls > Hotspots) over the image on the base layer. Next set a trigger on the hotspot to show the layer with your text popup when the "Mouse hovers over". You could also do something similar using States but I think this is the simplest way.
Hi Heidi! Looks like Brett is helping you here as well as Michael over here. Just linking the threads for the community.
Thank you!! The workarounds are great!
Glad you are getting the assistance needed Heidi.
