how and where to publish storyline samples

Feb 27, 2013

I'm a self-employed contractor working with Storyline for the first time. I created a great interactive sample, but am not sure how to publish it to the web.  My personal "portfolio" site was created on Blogspot (Blogger), and has its own domain name -- but I don't know whether I can ftp to Blogspot, or, if I can, how I'd do it.  Any suggestions for publishing would be great!

Hi Lisa!

I 'think' that Blogger no longer supports FTP. (I would suggest looking into some cheap hosting of your own eventually, if you need to upload lots of samples)

But heres what you could do:

If you upload to your 'Public' folder on Dropbox, you can get the url from that & use it in your webpage as a link. (not sure if its supported but using an i-frame will display the file right in your page)

See this thread for an explanation of setting up and getting a link for the dropbox folder.

Thanks so much!  As it turns out, the host of my Blogger-based site says he can and will set up a separate page for my scenarios -- which will be awesome.  I do love Blogger for the same reason I love Storyline: no coding, WYSIWYG interface, and a relatively limited number of options for creating looks/feels.  I find that too many possibilities overwhelm me, while a set of parameters makes me more creative!
