Hmmm. The same settings are there in the Modern player to select a logo and deselect the Menu. You might want to report this as a potential bug. You can do that here:

As you found out, this behavior is for the Classic player only. The Modern Player needs the sidebar to be enabled for the logo to appear. For more information on the differences between the two types of players, check out this article:

Simple answer:
Thank you Judy... looks like that only works in Classic view... Modern view doesnt offer the same flexibility. Oh well.

Here's a thought: Enable the Menu on the sidebar, so the logo can appear (as per Maria's note above). Then try these steps in the Player, too:
Theoretically, that will blank out the Menu, but still allow the logo to show. I don't have 360, so I can't test this myself. But it's worth a try.
Please let us know. Others in the Forum might want to do the same thing.
