How can I make a radio button a trigger?

I would like to make a radio button a trigger which will show a layer when selected, and here's how I was doing it:

1. Make the radio button a true/false variable whose default value is false.

2. Add a trigger on the radio button:

Action: Show layer

Layer: Show all(the one I would like to show)

When: Variable changes

Variable: select(the one I set)

On Condition: select == Equal to True

In this way, the "Show all" layer still can't show when I select the radio button in the preview mode. I believe there's something wrong with the way I make it, please give me some feedback and thoughts on it, thank you!
