I have several Storyline files in which I have inserted several videos (mp4 files). Is there a way to search a Storyline file to locate which slides have videos? Several of the videos were created using the screen record option in Storyline. Some of the video were Camtasia mp4 files.
Hello Chris - A way to search the slides, no, but if you are looking for a way to export the videos that you made within the file - you certainly do that.
You can export screencasts as MP4 videos, or you can save individual frames as PNG images. See this tutorial for details:.
I am not looking to export the videos. I want to find out which slides have videos. For example, if I have a SL file with 100 slides, and one 3 of the 100 slides I had inserted mp4 files on them, how can I search to find what specific slides the mp4s are on?
Is there a way to search on object names? By default, it appears that SL names videos "Video 1". Any SL experts know how to search for the names of objects?

I'm assuming you mean in edit mode so here is a manual way of doing it by adding an offstage shape with MP4 text in it. This is placed on each slide with a video then use Find Text to find each instance - not ideal but it works.
