How can you turn off iPad full screen scaling

Jun 20, 2013

Greetings, we now have hundreds of slides in Articulate Storyline and have reached a harsh road block.  The problem is that the Player on an iPad wants to always scale to fill the screen.  This is ok stand alone.  The problem is that these slides have to go in our LMS which consumes part of the top and left of the screen (no choice), and the Articulate player scales the content screen as if it had the whole screen to play with.  The result is that the bottom right controls are offscreen plus the right side of the content is lost of course.  In regular Windows browsers, the player size is 1:1 and everything fits.  It's only in the iPad that this is a problem, and we must support iPad per customer requirements.

Inspecting the code, there's clearly one DIV that has a -webkit-transform:scale(1.4xxxx) style attached.  If it get rid of that one style, everything looks 1:1 and perfect, BUT all interactions (touchable areas/hotspots) remain scaled up as if the 1.4xxxx scaling is still in effect, so in a list of 3 radio buttons, you have to touch further down to select each.  I've tried encapsulating the output in a sized DIV but it gets ignored (overflows).

I've tried publishing with all types of setting, but in iPad, the player always scales big.  How can I make our player play content 1:1 size on an iPad too, i.e., turn off this automatic scaling which is killing us?

Thank you!
