There is an option in Storyline to move the menu from the sidebar to a tab on the upper left or upper right of the player, above the slide. Then it only appears when you click the tab.
Thanks. I've done that. However, I'm not really showing the menu, just the Notes which has closed captioning for a video that's on the slide. When the user opens it, the closed captioning covers the video. In the Presenter example, it opened to the side, but didn't obscure the content on the slide.
Unfortunately it's not an option in Storyline although as others mentioned in this thread you can add the menu to the top left or right of the sidebar as a drop down, vs. having it docked in the sidebar the entire time.

This look like a Articulate Presenter project to me. As far as I know there is no option in Storyline to show/hide the menu like that.
