How do I….

Dec 28, 2012

Coming to the Super Hero’s for help again.  I have created a slide where the learner clicks on each image to learn more.

How can I show that each image (or layer) has been visited?  I would like to have a check mark appear on the image when the learner goes back to the original slide.   I think I do that as a state,  or a trigger or both…but I can’t figure out the steps.

Of course, I’ve been working the past few days with a cough, fever and what might be a slight case of whiplash from sneezing every 2.5 seconds which may be interfering with my critical thinking skills

Any pointers in the right direction would be so greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance…and Happy New Year!

Hi Eric!

Thanks so much for your help. I was able to copy what you did, and added the "visited state" on each image on the base layer, and created a trigger for each layer. I changed my triggers to match the one you did for me " hide this layer" when timeline ends.

However, when I preview it, the original base layer with all of the images does not show up again after the layer timeline is completed. ( The base layer text box does, and the image that was clicked on- with the checkmark)

So- I must be missing something.

I want the learner to click on an image- read it- have the image show a checkmark and then have the base layer show again with all of the images, so the learner can pick another. Any ideas? Thanks again for your help.

Hi Susan,

When I preview your file, I am not having any problems.  The image shows a checkmark and then when the timeline ends the base layer shows again with all of the images.

So I'm sorry I don't know how much help this is whereas I don't know why you're having the problem, but I figure it might be helpful to know that someone is seeing it correctly!  Maybe clear your cache?  I don't know if that will work.
