How do I add notes to slide layers?

Nov 09, 2015

Is it possible to have different notes for each slide layer (yet have them all show up in the "notes" view in the player?

Thank you for any help!

Hi Nancy,

I had a quick look, but it doesn't look like the notes field lets you do this. I guess you one solution would be to itemize the list. Something like:

Layer 1 - Notes
Layer 2 - Notes etc.

Alternately, I will occasionally use the pasteboard (the grey area outside the slide) to have notes or reference materials that I need, but that I don't want to show up on screen.

Sorry I couldn't be more help :)

Thank you for your reply. I saw other responses that indicated it is not possible to add notes that I want to show on slide layers. I decided the effect I was after could work in separate slides with triggers to guide a viewer's movements through the slides. I appreciate the quick response.

Hi Nancy,

The notes are slide specific - so they'll be visible on the base slide and any layers. There isn't a way to have notes just for a particular slide layer. Also just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here, so you're welcome to edit the post and remove the information if you'd prefer it not be public in the forums.
