I am the only one who has the Storyline software in my department but from time to time I would like my manager to view the course(s) without having to upload it to our LMS. Is there a link I can create to send her for just viewing purposes? Also, we are thinking about sending our clients a welcome course prior to being established in our LMS and was wondering if it was possible to send them a similar link to view the course without going through our LMS.
Hi, Sandie. If you use the Publish to Web feature and take the output folder and place it in a shared location, you can then provide the link to the story.html file in the shared location. This allows someone to view the published output of your SL file. Most of the elements will work as they do in an LMS, though if you have a button to EXIT the course after a quiz, this will not work.
I have an Amazon S3 server account I use for this purpose. It is easy to setup and convenient to use. It allows me to quickly share eLearning files with my other team members as well as persons that are interested in viewing our progress without needing to upload to our LMS. Hope this information is helpful.
Thank you for your quick response. This is very helpful!!! I'll try the publishing to the web feature and I definitely will look into the Amazon AWS server account. Thanks for the info.
Sandie, I'd also recommend using Articulate Tempshare to share your project online. One thing to note is that Tempshare is for testing purposes only. Uploaded content is deleted 10 days after it’s posted.
If you'd like more information on Amazon S3, which is what Eric uses, check out this helpful video tutorial to get it set up.

Hi Alyssa,
Thank you for sharing the Articulate Tempshare. I haven't heard of this either, and thank you for the links.
Absolutely! Glad to help!
