How do I get rid of this so that it plays automatically after it loads?

May 04, 2018

I've just created a SCORM content where the content should play the moment it loads up (upon launch in another window) but somehow, this screen appears. Before this happened, I could actually launch in another browser and the content will start but now, it's with this before the content is showed/ played. Is this a new feature? Can someone assist?

Seems loads of people are having the same problem Calvin. I raised it with support yesterday and posted on this forum about it, but have since heard nothing back from Articulate.

My guess - its a bug introduced in the latest update.

The strange thing is that if I load in a course created in a previous version and publish that (in the latest veriosn of SL360) the PLay button doesnt appear and the course works normally?!

Quick question for you as this is the theory Im currently investigating - does your opening slide have audio?

Hi Calvin,

It sounds like you're seeing the recent changes implemented for Chrome and Safari, based on how they're blocking the autoplay of media. We've implemented support and changes for both of these browsers as you'll see noted in the links shared.

A few folks have also run into that play button in Firefox recently, and our team is looking into that behavior as I don't believe Firefox has implemented the same autoplay policies yet.

If you're using Firefox or another browser, let me know and I can keep you posted on our findings here.

Hey everybody. I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 17 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where in HTML5, the course does not automatically play in Firefox when audio or video is added to the first slide.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
