HI there. I have a presentation with various audio sources. Most were done via the audio record feature. I also have some videos in the presentation. I need to maintain a consistent audio level throughout the presentation. Currently it goes up and down like a yoyo requiring the user to constanly adjust their volume.
Storyline does not have an option to equalize audio across multiple sources or files - that would need to be something you do prior to importing the media into Storyline. You will see that audio and videos do have the option to change the overall audio of that piece - so you may want to play around with that as well to see if it gets you closer to what you need.
Thanks, Ashley. It's obviously not ideal to go slide by slide, but that's okay. I did and the audio is more or less consistent. I appreciate your assistance.
I have created an e-learning via Storyline 2 and the slides were done at various times which has created inconsistent volume from one to another. The audio was done through the audio record feature. The original post that Andy had is exactly what I am looking for.... have there been any changes since that will allow users to create a consistent volume across all slides of their project? Thank you!
Storyline 3 and 360 included some updates and changes to how we optimize audio quality. Take a look at the settings here and if you're using an older version of Storyline you can still do the trial for Storyline 3 and 360.
Getting consistent audio was a problem that drove me crazy for years. We use two narrators and break up our courses into many small components. Getting a consistent volume level across narrators, projects and components was nearly impossible.
I finally solved the problem by finding some software used by the radio industry. I purchased an inexpensive program called Auphonic Leveler. I now run all of my audio through this software and get a consistent volume for all of my projects. It is one of my most important and valuable tools that I have in my eLearning toolkit.

As shown here for audio:
And here for video.

How about if you have MP3 and MP4 files in your project. Any way to to equalize the volume?
