Hi all! I have a few FAQ slides and I've created video layers that are visited when the learner clicks on each FAQ. The problem is, I can't disable the Next button in the video layer, so if they click it, they are taken to the next FAQ page instead of back to the original FAQ page where they started. What steps do I need to take to make it so that when the learner is watching the video in the layer, they can only go back to the FAQ page (base layer) that is associated with this videos on that layer??
what do you mean you can't disable the Next button?
If you are using the SL player navigation you could change the state of the Next button to disabled or hidden when the timeline starts on the base layer.
Then set a trigger on the video layer to change state of next button to normal when media completes 'video on layer' and add a hide layer 'video layer' trigger to close the layer and go back to the base.
As you may have seen, the next button's default behavior would be to go to the next slide, not the layer you were previously on. If you'd like to revisit the layer based on the user clicking next, you'll want to follow the advice of Wendy or Brian above. If you're having a difficult time setting this up, please share a copy of your .story file so that we can assist with that specifically.

Set the state of the Next button to hidden and add your own custom Next buttons with appropriate trigger

Nicole, take a look at the attached .story file to get an idea of the ideas being described here.
