I create a lot of software simulations, so I tend to record them when connected to a monitor (1400 x 900) rather than my laptop, then I set my story size to 1200 x 750. Finally, I go into the player settings and click the other settings where I change it to 'Resize to fill browser screen' and 'scale player to fit browser screen', I also have it set to launch from a new window and allow user to resize browser. In most of my elearning, I will add a note to the front screen and the course instructions that these are best viewed in full screen mode and learners should press f11 to enable it.
This should now adjust your course to all monitor sizes, I hope that helps a bit.
