How do I start my timeline with a play button instead of automatically?

Hi,

Right now, the slide I created with 3 layers starts automatically.

How can I get it to start with a play button?

I created a layer for that with 3 states, but I can't figure out how to get it to start on that layer.
I then created a play icon on the base layer with 3 states since the new layer wasn't working, but can't figure out how to get that to be triggered by the user. Pause timeline isn't working for me.
