Basically I recreated the number keypad on the stage and I want the numeric display to show the numbers in the sequence they are pressed (triggered), does anyone have any ideas on how to acomplish this?
I don't know if this helps at all, but see attached a file that does something similar. The only difference being that numbers have to be pressed in a specific order.
Hi, Daniel -- Thanks for reaching out! I see that Michael is helping you here, and what a cool example! If that is not what you had in mind, you would always be welcome to share a your file if you have one started, as well! :)
I am prevented posting my file as it pertains to controlled goods, I can
tell you I'm working on converting communications equipment to basic
emulators people can access via a LMS.
Thanks for the additional information, Dan, and we certainly understand the need to maintain confidentiality with respects to client content. Perhaps you would be able to share a generic sample file (that does not contain any sensitive material) instead? Just something to illustrate what you have in mind is all that would be needed.
Otherwise, please let us know if Michael's suggestion will work for your purposes, and you may also find it beneficial to reach out over in our design-related Building Better Courses forum over here. All the best with your project!
I actually solved our problem using one of the posts on your site, it works beautifully, its a java simple calculator by Marcel Lendi.
It seems that adding embedded JS on stage objects makes AS2 a pretty powerful tool in the right hands, kudos Marcel.
I dont think Im allowed to share any of the source, and we are fire walled and monitored, we would have to ask the permissions of the manufacturer, I dont think they will be too keen on the idea.
But now that we have this working I will start another project with a non or less controlled item , I will still have to ask for permission, but its far less likely they will say no.
Thanks so much for sharing a link to that post, Daniel and glad to hear you have what you need! And your example is also appreciated, Marty, as I am sure others will find it very helpful! :)

BY the way, thanks for the great support to date, everyones hard work is well appreciated in our circle.
Here's how I did it. I assign the value of currentbutton to a variable.
