I am having challenges trying to launch and recording an Youtube video and include it into my storyline project. Any ideas or guidance anyone can offer?
Always better to embed a web video or extract it, than it is to record it. You'll almost always lose quality recording a video's playback. I use the YTD app (YouTube Downloader) to extract YouTube videos. Works great with no re-encoding. You just copy the YouTube URL and paste it into YTD app, it then downloads the MP4 file automatically. And it's free. Embedding the video would work as well, as Emily demonstrates above, but I don't think that method will work if your course is offline.

Hello Tikinia, and welcome to the community!
Have you tried using the Record Screen function within Storyline?
It is grainy and loses some of the image quality.
There are tools that allow you to extract a video file from youtube. This would probably be your best bet.
Tikinia,
Here is information on how to add a Youtube video directly into Storyline.
