How do you use Variables/Triggers in a branching scenario

I have a course for managers and employees where they need to branch to different sections of the course depending on their title. They view some of the same content but branch to different screens and then come back to the same slides periodically throughout the course. I added a slide in the beginning asksing "Are you a Manager? with YES/NO buttons set with a true/false variable. I want to carry that variable throughout the course and branch depending on how they initially answered without asking the same question multiple times. Is this possible? I've attached a sample file of what I'm trying to accomplish.
Appreciate any help.

Hi Karla and welcome to Heroes!
You could set the variable on the first slide as you're slide is initially set up, and then check for it throughout the course (if variable is Yes). The variable will remain the same unless there is something that will act on it like a reset variable, adjust variable trigger. Since you're using a yes/no set up - you may want to also look at a True/False set up, as it may be a bit easier to work with.
There are a number of threads in the community, and you may want to look at this one where the user can go through each path (revisit the menu slide) or this thread which includes a number of examples (some about picking a language, or a role/location).
Good luck with your project development!
Hi Ashley,
Thank you so much for your help! I took a look at the threads you suggested and was able to get the variables to work correctly. It took some time but with determination and patience I was successful and I no longer fear the variable
Thank you again for your speedy reply!!
Hi Karla,
Glad I was able to help and point you in the right direction! Variables are one of those things you just need to see and do it to understand - so I'm glad you were able to take the time.
