If, for example, I insert a jpg, then use that same jpg on a number of slides, does Storyline insert a new instance of that jpg on every slide it's used on, or incorporate the initial instance of the jpg on every slide?
If you're going to use an image multiple times throughout Storyline you may want to add it to a master slide layout and use that layout to include the image. That will allow Storyline to have it as one instance and not add to your overall file size, which if you insert a picture (even though it may already be in the project) Storyline will treat it as a new image.
Ah, well I've heard users also doing a copy/paste within Storyline instead of just inserting the image. I don't have documentation on if that makes your file size smaller or not - but it's worth a try.

Good thought. Happens I'm using the image in different positions on the slide, but I'll keep this in mind for next time.
