How to Add and Subtract Values of Totals fro Check Boxes

Hi! I am new to Storyline and am self-teaching myself.

  • I have attached the slide I am working on. I have 4 separate columns which each need to add up to 10.
  • I am focusing on RED (1st phone to start)
  • I have been able to get the 10 check boxes to count and add up to 10 as each check box is selcted.
  • However when I try to deselect a check box (assuming someone changes there mind) I can not get it to subtract by one.

Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.

Hi Lisa

I have duplicated your slide and just worked on the first checkbox in the red section 'adventuresome'.

As you can I see I ungrouped the objects and also deleted any triggers to change a state to selected as that is an built in SL state and SL knows automatically that when the user clicks = selected and when they click again = deselected.  Using triggers on built in states can cause issues.
