How to Adjust Output from Multiple Response Questions

Dec 10, 2018

Hey everyone,

When I build multiple response questions (such as "Check All That Apply" or "Rank These Answers" questions) in Storyline 360, the reporting to my LMS is very odd. My LMS support team seems convinced that it has something to do with how the Storyline files are reporting out the information.

To be more specific: let's say a learner answers a "Check All That Apply" question by selecting three answers. The system seems to report out the question three times to the LMS, with all three answers listed in each entry. Obviously, this is pretty messy from a reporting standpoint.

I've included an Excel file showing an example.

Any suggestions on how to adjust this reporting from the Storyline side of things would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ashley!

Thanks for reaching out and including the Excel file. I mocked up a quick Multiple Response question in Storyline 360, shown below.

Then I published it for LMS and tested on SCORM Cloud. The question appears as one interaction, shown below.

From here, try testing your published output on SCORM Cloud to compare the question reporting in your LMS to that in another environment. If you'd like some help with that testing, you can share your file here!
