How to align graphics to end position of objects that have a motion

Jan 13, 2018

I wanted to add the 2 sets of double arrows to the blue spot on this image. I could not figure a better way than trial and error and tediously nudging them and Preview. I know I can use the PLAY button in the timeline and even freeze it but if I do any editing the slides returns to the origin of the timeline. What am I missing ?

Hi Philippe,

Thanks for sharing your file with me! This is what I see when I preview your slide. It looks like your "nudging" method was spot on, but I'm sure it was time consuming.

Next time, try taking a screenshot of the slide in preview before adding the arrows. Then, add the screenshot to the slide as a guide to help you determine where the arrows should go. Once the arrows are in place, remove the screenshot.

I hope that helps!

Tell me more,.  I can understand the side and position, but the arrows do not touch the edge of the graphic, they go somewhere in the middle. Same issue with video clip. Think you have a talking head and you want to point to a mole on his forehead during the clip. How do you do that, aside from the tedious judging described above, it possibly the freezed frame and adjust the frozen frame over the clip, point at the image and then remove it as described above by Alyssa? This is still very clumsy.
