First time on the discussion board looking for help. I have a interactive game that was created in Storyline 1 by someone other than me. I can not figure out how to allow the user two guesses for a single question. In Storyline 2, it can be changed in the Form View through the number of attempts, but in Storyline 1, I am not sure how. Please help!
Hi Michael, thank you for replying. It looks the original creator didn't use the Freeform feature to create questions, but instead created different layers with multiple triggers. I guess the original question should be is there a trigger I can add that allows the user to "try again" if they get it wrong?
Without seeing the file its hard to say for sure. But you can probably use a counter variable that is increased for each attempt and then either allows another attempt or displays correct/incorrect feedback.
Thanks Michael. To be completely honest, I have never set up a counter variable before. Is that just a number variable with a trigger? I can certainly do it as I know how to create a variable and a trigger, but I might need some direction on how to get them to talk to each other. You can see where I have the need on attachment.
