How to change the HIGHLIGHT BOX outline and fill colour.

Apr 03, 2019

Hi there - I've found a couple of articles on this, but they don't tell me exactly how to make the change.

We want to change the blue highlight boxes in the recordings, with the transparent blue fill,  to no fill (we haven't decided on the outline colour yet).

We are using a customized set of theme colours (please see attached) - do any of the Accent colours (other than Accent 1) relate to highlight boxes in a recording.

Hi Rita,

We had documented a method to custom the captions that are generated for screen recordings in Storyline 2 here. You could look at using a similar method in Storyline 3/360, although with different paths to the installation files, but we haven't tested it yet to be sure!

Let us know if you need anything else!

Thanks for the response, but I was asking about changes to the Highlight box, not the captions. i.e. when the cursor in the recording points and clicks, a highlight box outlined in blue, with transparent blue fill, appears as the item is clicked.
Is there any way to change those colours?

Thanks,
Rita.

Hi there - here is a screenshot - I've circled what I'm referring to:

Hi Rita!

Thanks so much for attaching that screenshot. The Design Theme colors aren't related to the small blue rectangle that appears on screen recording slides.

The best way to customize this rectangle is to manually select the colors on the first rectangle, then use the format painter to apply the same formatting to the other rectangles. Let me know if that helps!
