How to Color a Button in Modern Player

Oct 08, 2018

Hi,

We recently switched from Classic to Modern Player. Love its minimalist design.

However, for the quiz slides, I want the "Submit" button to be more emphatic, with a solid background color. But there are no "Advanced Color Editing" options for modern player.

After some digging up, I've found that one can change the player settings in the "main.min.css" file.
Can someone help me out with the editing of the file. I do not know how to do it.

Is there any easier/safer method to implement this? It should be mobile compatible as well.

The content will be published in
LMS: Tin Can Api
Format: HTML5 Only

Thanks in advance.

Hello, Sujeev. Glad you're loving the Modern Player!

While there isn't a built-in way to customize the Modern Player's button colors at this time, I've shared your feedback for advanced color editing options with our product team. Feel free to share any extra thoughts here or via the Feature Request form!

At this time, you can change the Modern Player's theme colors–Light or Dark–and one accent color. If you need more control over colors for each player feature, you can switch to the Classic Player and use that handy advanced color editing option

Another option can be to uncheck the Submit box in the Slide Property. Then, insert a Button and customize it as desired. Check out this Peek I put together!

Hope that helps, and I'll leave the CSS editing to our crafty community. 🎨
