How to control default next back button for survey form?

Nov 27, 2014

Hi,

I have created one course which contain five survey forms. and set slide properties to "Resume save state'' and I have used custom next back button for navigation and uncheck players next/ back button, but whenever  I publish this course default next back button seem to be enabled. and whatever triggers I have applied to custom next/ back button its automatically given to default button. so all control for navigation is goes to default buttons how to disable players default buttons? I want to use only custom navigation buttons for survey form and wants "resume save state" only. please help me out for this.

Hi Pranali

I cannot replicate what is happening for you.  I have created a sample proj in SL2

with custom prev and next arrows on all slides including the survey form.  I have my slides set on revisit to 'reset to initial state' maybe that is where the issue lies.

Just re-tested with 'resume saved state' and 'automatically decide' I get the same behaviour no default prev/next buttons only my custom ones

Hi Wendy,

I was just trying to find the solution to similar issue. I am trying to get a Likert survey with custom navigation (so no default back/next enabled) working. It works well with default 'When revisiting' setting in slide properties but when I change it to 'Resume saved state' I see the default back/next buttons when revisiting the slides.

Out of curiosity I tested the Pranali-SL2-WF.story 115 KB you posted above with Slide Properties->When revisiting->'Resume saved state' setting for slide 1.2 and 1.3 and it did not work for me.

I see the default next/back pop right there!

Hi Sandeep

I made some changes to my sample file.  I removed the default submit button and used the custom 'next' button to submit the interaction.  I then published the file and went into the frame.xml and changed all instances of 'prev' and 'next' from 'true' to 'false'

Here is published file...

I have made assumptions as I haven't seen Pranali's story file.
