How to convert Storyline 360 course from review mode

Apr 23, 2020

With the challenges of working outside the office, a team member and I have worked on a course, taking turns on edits. We have been very careful to save repeatedly, yet today, when ready for final edits, it is nowhere to be found. We have had system glitches with so many on our statewide server working from home during this time of emergency, so at a loss as to what happened. Our last edited version was sent out for review but we see no way to convert it to a version for additional edits. Help?!?!?

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for reaching out! I am sorry to hear about the system issues you have been experiencing.

While the Review 360 version of the course cannot be reverse engineered, there may still be a working version of the course. Here is how you can check:

1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline

2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.

3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.

4) Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.

Since file corruption is unpredictable, these preventative measures described in this article should help protect your project files:
